Overview
The AIY12 is a piezoelectric velocity sensor that is professionally designed based on an acceleration sensor, with a precisely embedded integral circuit. It features stable and reliable technical performance and excellent dynamic characteristics. It is used for measuring the vibration velocity of mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, and motors, and outputs a current signal that varies with the vibration velocity.
Key Features
- 4~20mA Two-wire Output: The two-wire 4~20mA output simplifies the wiring and connection process, making it easy to integrate with various monitoring systems. It also enables long-distance signal transmission with high anti-interference ability.
- Low Noise and Anti-interference: The double shielding effectively blocks external electromagnetic interference, and the insulation of the signal ground from the housing reduces the influence of ground loops. This ensures that the sensor can output low-noise and stable signals even in complex electromagnetic environments.
- High Protection Level: Encased in a full-metal housing with an IP66 waterproof rating, the AIY12 sensor can withstand harsh environmental conditions, such as dust, water splashing, and vibrations. This enhances its durability and makes it suitable for use in a wide range of industrial scenarios.
- Stable Performance: With a stable resonant frequency and low non-linearity, the sensor can provide accurate and consistent vibration velocity measurements over a long period, which is crucial for reliable equipment monitoring.
Applications
- Equipment Vibration Monitoring: The AIY12 sensor is mainly used for monitoring the vibration velocity of mechanical equipment like pumps, fans, and motors in industrial settings. By continuously measuring the vibration velocity, it can help detect early signs of equipment failures, such as bearing wear, imbalance, or looseness, allowing for timely maintenance and reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.
- Lightweight Applications: Due to its relatively light weight of 80g, it is suitable for applications where minimizing the additional load on the equipment is required. It can be easily installed on various lightweight mechanical components without affecting their normal operation.
- Predictive Maintenance: The accurate vibration velocity data provided by the sensor can be used to establish predictive maintenance models. By analyzing the trends and patterns of the vibration velocity over time, maintenance personnel can predict when equipment components need to be replaced or adjusted, optimizing maintenance schedules and reducing maintenance costs.
